Why do these teams appear in the bracket?

The bracket is built from the group-stage projection: the top two from each of the 12 groups (24 teams) plus the 8 best third-placed teams qualify. While the group stage is still being played, each slot shows the position a team currently holds in its group (a live projection); once a group finishes, the slot is filled with the real qualified team. So you can simulate now and refine your prediction when the groups close on June 27.
